Data economy, from data collection to data licensing and commercialization lies between often conflicting priorities of a free data economy and the protection of personal data and trade secrets. The GDPR, the Data Governance Act and the Data Act mark regulatory cornerstones in the European judicial area. Sector-specific European Data Spaces as promoted by the European Commission, including the European Health Data Space (EDHS) further contribute to the European data strategy.
